Why HMC/Marianne Houle websites are different

1. Experience

I have been living, breathing, thinking and developing marketing communications materials for more than 25 years.

2. Range of expertise

Copywriting, web design, print design, corporate identity, interactive training materials, project management, market research — at one time or other, I've done it all. And doing it all enables me to see the big picture, the best way to maximize your organization's message and presence.

3. Creativity

Creatvity for the sake of being creative is fun, but not very useful. So I work backwards—from the desired end result to the very first step. Focused, structured creativity gets you noticed in the way that best suits your company's needs.

4. Organization

It's not glamorous, but I believe that organization is the single most important element in website design and development. Without it, your website will fail. Period.

Is HMCWeb! right for you?

HMCWeb! specializes in informational websites for small- and medium-size businesses, associations and not-for-profit groups. Website format and design is tailored to your specific requirements and can include photo galleries, movie clips, simple forms, links and email addresses. I don't however, design e-commerce sites, or those which require large databases and mega-programming.

What does a custom website cost?

Every HMCWeb! site is created from scratch, which means that your site will be unique and stand out from your competitors. That also means that it will cost more than a web package where you literally fill-in-the-blanks. Sometimes a web template design is all you need, and there are many you can purchase online. But if your website is critical to your organization's growth and success, a custom site is the only way to go.

The actual cost depends on so many things—the number of pages, availability of photos, a good logo design, and whether there is written copy to work from. Most small sites (5-8 pages) will cost between $1,500-$2,500. Eight to 30-page sites will average around $3,000-$5,000. Once we have talked about your company and objectives, you will receive a detailed cost estimate before any work begins.
